California Governor Gavin Newsom ( stated in an interview on 8/30 that he plans to launch a meme coin called “Trump Corruption Coin” ), directly naming Trump in relation to conflicts of interest in Crypto Assets.

He used his official account to post a tweet in all caps, mimicking Trump’s boastful tone about his extremely high approval ratings, and even added “MAKE AMERICA GAVIN AGAIN!!! — GCN” at the end, directly referencing Trump’s “MAGA” slogan to further provoke.
