Rezolve Ai, a Nasdaq-listed AI-driven commerce platform, has acquired the blockchain data platform Subsquid (SQD) for an undisclosed amount.

Rezolve Ai Builds on the Smartpay Acquisition

The Nasdaq-listed artificial intelligence (AI)-driven commerce platform, Rezolve Ai, has acquired the blockchain data platform Subsquid (SQD) for an undisclosed amount. As part of the deal, Subsquid’s token, SQD, which is currently listed on major crypto exchanges, will be rebranded and added into a Rezolve Ai treasury annually.

According to a media release, the acquisition comes shortly after Rezolve Ai’s purchase of the Brazil-based digital-asset payments company Smartpay. As reported by Bitcoin.com News, the Smartpay acquisition underpins Rezolve AI’s multi-asset payment initiative with Tether to integrate USDT, bitcoin and ether into retail payments.

Like Smartpay, the Subsquid acquisition also aligns with the Nasdaq-listed company’s goal of bridging traditional finance with decentralized data networks. Daniel M. Wagner, founder and chief executive officer of Rezolve Ai, said the acquisition of both Smartpay and Subsquid helps the company build an unmatched infrastructure for blockchain-based commerce.

“With Smartpay and Subsquid, Rezolve AI unites the complete infrastructure for autonomous commerce, data, intelligence, and payments in one ecosystem, positioning us to power global commerce in the blockchain economy. The $SQD utility token, which is planned to be renamed, continues to power the Subsquid network; the planned rebrand simply aligns the network’s identity with Rezolve’s expanding AI-commerce ecosystem,” the CEO said.

Web3 as the Foundation for Enterprise AI

Wagner, meanwhile, explained to Bitcoin.com News that his company’s acquisition of Subsquid marked a definitive moment for enterprise AI recognizing Web3’s core tech beyond payments. He said enterprise-grade AI has grown dependent on three pillars, which only Web3 can strengthen.

To illustrate, Wagner said enterprises want auditable AI decisions, and Web3 primitives “deliver provable lineage and integrity for the signals AI consumes and the events it generates.” Furthermore, only Web3 has infrastructure that makes it practical to coordinate data and incentives across brands, channels and partners without central custody.

Wagner insists enterprise AI is unlikely to reach its full potential unless it is founded on verifiable, portable and consent-aware data rails.

SQD founder Marcel Fohrmann framed his platform’s joining forces with Rezolve Ai as something likely to accelerate the “mission to make that data instantly usable for developers and enterprises.”
