Airdrop kicks off: over 100,000 users can immediately claim SKR

According to an announcement issued by Solana Mobile on Tuesday (January 16), all Seeker phone users can now receive SKR tokens through the built-in wallet. This airdrop will last for 90 days. After the deadline, unclaimed tokens will be returned to the airdrop pool and may be used for other incentives or activities in the future.

In addition to mobile users, developers who deployed “quality applications” on the Solana dApp Store during the first quarter are also eligible to receive tokens. This indicates that the airdrop coverage not only includes consumers but also values contributing developers.

SKR: The core token empowering the Solana ecosystem

SKR is a native token designed by Solana Mobile for its new generation mobile ecosystem, used for governance, economic incentives, network management, and user participation. The total supply of the token is 10 billion, with 30% allocated for the airdrop and initial unlock distribution.

Solana Mobile encourages users to stake SKR tokens, as the token will undergo inflation every 48 hours. According to the official website, SKR adopts a linear inflation model, with a 10% inflation rate in the first year, decreasing by 25% each year until it drops to 2% and remains stable.

This design aims to encourage early participants to hold and participate long-term, establishing a sustainable token economy.

Seeker Season 2 officially launches: new applications and reward relay debut

The SKR launch coincides with the second season (Season 2) of Seeker phone activities. According to official statements, this season will focus on applications in DeFi, gaming, payments, trading, and DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure networks).

Participants can not only experience new applications early but also have the chance to earn more rewards, further boosting overall user activity and developer ecosystem development.

According to the latest data from cryptocurrency tracking site Coingecko, the SKR token is priced at $0.01128, with a 63% increase over the past 24 hours.
