Elon Musk: Humanity needs to ensure that the light of consciousness does not go out, and SpaceX's goal is to maximize the future of civilization.

BlockBeats News, January 22 — Elon Musk stated at the World Economic Forum that the goal of founding SpaceX is to maximize the future of civilization. SpaceX is committed to advancing rocket technology to enable us to extend life and consciousness beyond Earth, reaching the Moon, Mars, and ultimately other galaxies. I believe we should always view consciousness and the unknown darkness as unstable and delicate.

Humans are not sure if extraterrestrials exist, so the bottom line is that I think we need to assume that life and consciousness are extremely rare, possibly only existing here. If that’s the case, then we need to do everything possible to ensure that the light of consciousness does not go out; humanity is just a tiny candle in great darkness. For this reason, making life multi-planetary becomes especially important, so that in the event of natural disasters or human-made catastrophes on Earth, consciousness can continue. That is the purpose of SpaceX.
