Paris prosecutors raid X's offices in France, investigating multiple alleged illegal activities

BlockBeats News, February 3rd, according to AP News reports, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office announced that on Tuesday, they conducted a search at the office location of Elon Musk’s social media platform X in France as part of a preliminary investigation. The investigation involves multiple suspected illegal activities, including the dissemination of child pornography and deepfake information. The statement said that the investigation was initiated by the Cybercrime Department of the Prosecutor’s Office in January of last year.

Additionally, the Paris prosecutors have issued a “voluntary inquiry” request to Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X (2023–2025), scheduled for April 20th. The statement also mentioned that several employees of the X platform have been summoned and will be questioned as witnesses during the same week in April.
