Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is quietly expanding into the cryptocurrency market. According to recent recruitment information released by xAI on the social platform X, the company is hiring professionals with expertise in cryptocurrencies and digital assets, aiming to train and enhance its AI trading models.
According to the job posting, xAI hopes to recruit a candidate who understands how cryptocurrency quantitative trading works and can analyze blockchain data to achieve optimal results, assisting the company in “creating and optimizing new AI tasks, with a particular focus on the cryptocurrency and digital asset markets.”
More importantly, xAI explicitly states that they want applicants to approach training the AI model from the perspective of professional investors and traders.
In the recruitment description, xAI mentioned: “You will be responsible for training our AI models, teaching them how to think like cryptocurrency quantitative traders, how to analyze blockchain data, build token economic models, evaluate on-chain capital flows, respond to extreme volatility, identify arbitrage opportunities and efficiency gaps between centralized and decentralized exchanges, and make judgments within the constantly evolving digital asset framework.”
