Iranian sources: U.S. leak of cancellation talks indicates a lack of sincerity

Odaily Planet Daily reports that a senior Iranian source stated, “The leak by the United States about canceling the negotiations indicates a lack of sincerity on their part.” The source also said that Iran will not accept negotiations on any issues other than the nuclear matter. Two U.S. officials earlier revealed that the U.S. government officially informed Iran on the 4th that it refused Iran’s request to change the original meeting date and location set for the 6th. The two sides had previously agreed to hold talks in Istanbul with the participation of multiple international observers, but Iran requested on the 3rd to move the negotiations to Oman and conduct them bilaterally. After assessment, the U.S. believed that this move could weaken multilateral coordination and insisted on the original arrangement.
