US Media: The United States instructs the second aircraft carrier to prepare for deployment to the Middle East

One official stated that a deployment order could be issued within hours. On Tuesday, Trump said he is considering sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East to respond in case negotiations with Iran fail and military action becomes necessary. Officials warned that Trump has not yet officially ordered the deployment of a second carrier, and plans may change. One official said the Pentagon is preparing to deploy an aircraft carrier within two weeks, possibly departing from the U.S. East Coast. The USS George H.W. Bush is currently conducting a series of training exercises off the coast of Virginia, and this deployment could accelerate those exercises. If a second carrier is deployed to the Middle East, it will be the first time in nearly a year that two carriers are present in the region.
