Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new AI service called “AWS Elemental Inference.” This service is specifically designed for social media live streams, optimizing videos in real-time to fit vertical screen formats. While most social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts prefer vertical content, traditional horizontal videos require extensive manual editing. AWS’s service can analyze video streams in real-time and automatically apply multi-stage conversions, helping viewers not miss important moments.
Starting today, AWS Elemental Inference is available in four regions: US East, US West, Ireland in Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The service features a low latency of 6-10 seconds, enabling near real-time streaming. This allows broadcasters and content creators to produce high-quality videos more easily and quickly.
This new service integrates with the AWS Elemental MediaLive platform, allowing AI optimization without changing existing video infrastructure. By leveraging fully managed models that are automatically updated and optimized by AWS engineers, users can easily utilize this feature without AI expertise.
Notably, AWS Elemental Inference can perform real-time advanced metadata analysis, automatically identifying highlights with important sports moments and instantly adapting for vertical platform publishing. Such innovations significantly enhance competitiveness on social media platforms.
