Bitcoin treasury company EmperyDigital's third-largest shareholder requests to sell 3,723 BTC and return cash

BTC-0,97%

Odaily Planet Daily reports that EmperyDigital, a U.S. publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company holding 3,723 BTC, is embroiled in shareholder disputes. The third-largest shareholder, Tice P. Brown, with a 10.3% stake, publicly demands the resignation of co-CEO Ryan Lane and the board of directors, and advocates selling all of the company’s Bitcoin assets to return the proceeds to shareholders.

Tice P. Brown accuses management of misgovernance, claiming the company allows employees to engage in large-scale intraday trading of Bitcoin derivatives. The company denies these allegations and states that selling all Bitcoin assets would harm the company’s long-term strategic value. (CoinDesk)
