China's AI Large Model API Calls Surpass US for Two Consecutive Weeks, Mysterious Model Hunter Alpha Makes the List

Gate News Report, March 16 — According to the latest data from OpenRouter, last week (March 9 to March 15), China’s AI large model weekly usage rose to 4.69 trillion tokens, an 11.83% increase from the previous week; the US AI large model weekly usage was 3.294 trillion tokens, a 9.33% decrease week-over-week. China’s AI large model usage has surpassed the US for two consecutive weeks, and last week, all three of the top global rankings were held by Chinese AI large models. Notably, the mysterious model Hunter Alpha made the list, with a weekly usage of 0.666 trillion tokens, ranking seventh. According to OpenRouter, Hunter Alpha was launched on March 11. This model is built specifically for intelligent agent applications, featuring over a trillion parameters and around 1 million tokens of context.
