The unstoppable rally in U.S. tech stocks has played a key role in the trio’s wealth rise, and has similarly boosted the net worth of Larry Ellison, Bezos, Michael Dell, and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, with the assets of the eight tech giants alone pumping more than $600 billion in 2024. Dominating the list of the world’s richest people in 2024 is Elon Musk, the so-called “first buddy” of US President-elect Donald Trump, whose close relationship with Trump has helped his companies skyrocket, bringing his fortune to an unprecedented $442.1 billion, an increase of $213 billion from the beginning of the year.
