CZ responds to a report about a CEX employee reassignment: it’s misleading—the company has always offered flexible work location arrangements

Gate News update: April 10, CZ posted a response to the report “a certain CEX provides temporary transfers for employees in the UAE.” He said the report is misleading and tries to cast a negative light on the UAE, but the facts are not so. CZ pointed out that this is not something new—some CEX has been offering employees flexible work-location arrangements and will provide reasonable transfer support based on specific circumstances. CZ personally believes the UAE is still one of the safest countries in the world, and is even safer than many popular tourist destinations.

Earlier, it was reported that, affected by the situation in the Middle East, a certain CEX offered employees in the UAE options to temporarily relocate to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok. A spokesperson for the CEX said that, given the recent regional tensions, the company is offering employees the option of temporary relocation as a preventive measure that puts employees first, to provide flexibility and support during uncertain times. The spokesperson also said that many employees currently choose to stay in the UAE, and the company’s business operations in the UAE remain normal. The CEX has about 1,000 employees in the UAE, accounting for 20% of its global workforce, and its global operations are also supported by Abu Dhabi.
