Gate News message. On April 4, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin’s monitoring, FTX/Alameda, through Wintermute, sold off 6.94 million DRIFT tokens about 6 hours ago, raising roughly $320k. This sell-off occurred after the Drift Protocol was hit by a $285 million theft incident.

As an early investor in Drift Protocol, Alameda acquired 8.33 million DRIFT tokens a year ago via vested unlocks; at the time, they were worth about $6.22 million. Affected by this theft incident, the value of this batch of tokens dropped sharply to about $380k. The actual sale value in this instance was $320k—down significantly compared to the initial investment value.
