German hackers arrested in Bangkok over alleged cryptocurrency extortion and 74 arrest warrants for cybercrimes

Gate News message. On April 12, according to a report by BangkokPost, a 27-year-old German hacker, Noah Christopher, was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand. He faces up to 74 arrest warrants for cybercrimes in Europe. Investigators found that he is suspected of developing and operating a ransomware platform and a “cybercrime as a service” (CaaS) system between 2021 and 2025. The system includes providing distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack tools (such as Fluxstress and Neldowner), helping global customers launch cyberattacks, and collecting payment. The related ransom payments involve cryptocurrency and other digital assets, constituting transnational cybercriminal activity. At present, his visa has been revoked, and he is being held in custody while awaiting extradition to Germany.
