Gate News message, on April 9, an independent Bitcoin miner earlier on Thursday succeeded in mining a Bitcoin block with an extremely low probability and received the full block subsidy and transaction fee rewards. Block explorer Mempool data shows that the miner used CKpool’s solo mining software to mine the 944,306th block, for a total of 3.128 BTC (about $222,012), including 3.125 BTC in block subsidy (about $221,800) and 0.003 BTC in transaction fees (about $212). CKpool developer Con Kolivas said the miner mined the 313rd solo block using only 70 TH of hashrate. The probability of a miner of this size mining one block per day is only about 1 in 100,000, and on average it would take about 300 years for it to happen once.
