Iran Praises Pakistan's Key Role in Ceasefire Mediation

Gate News message, April 17 — Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iran’s Interior Minister Iskandar Momeni in Tehran on April 17, according to Pakistan’s Interior Ministry. The two officials exchanged views on the latest regional developments, with Iran’s interior minister expressing appreciation for Pakistan’s historic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and its role in the reconciliation process.

Iran’s interior minister stated that the ceasefire agreement was made possible through Pakistan’s mediation efforts, and that Iran would always remember Pakistan’s contribution. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized his country’s commitment to maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region. He stressed that Pakistan is making efforts to seek long-term solutions to Middle East conflicts, adding: “War solves nothing; dialogue is the only way to resolve differences.”
