Gate News message, April 22 — Israel and Lebanon will hold their second round of ambassador-level talks at the U.S. State Department on April 23, according to CNN. The U.S. will be represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee (a new addition to the delegation), U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michelle Issa, and State Department advisor Michael Needham.
Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter will lead the Israeli delegation, while Lebanon’s Ambassador to the U.S. Nada Hammad Mouawad will lead the Lebanese side.
The talks follow the first round of negotiations held on April 14 at the State Department. Following that meeting, Israel and Lebanon officially began a 10-day ceasefire on April 17.
