Gate News message, April 24 — Switzerland’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has stated that allowing banks to rapidly and conveniently adopt Anthropic’s artificial intelligence tool Mythos would pose serious risks to the country’s financial system. An FINMA spokesperson warned that uncontrolled and immediately available AI models like Mythos would be considered systemic risks.
According to the regulator, nearly all existing software systems could simultaneously be exposed to numerous previously unknown zero-day vulnerabilities under such conditions. These vulnerabilities would be immediately exploited and weaponized through artificial intelligence, the spokesperson said.
