Tesla AI5 Chip Successfully Taped Out, Elon Musk Says It Will Become One of Highest-Volume AI Chips

Gate News message, April 15 — Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that Tesla’s AI chip design team has successfully completed the tapeout of the AI5 chip. More powerful variants including the AI6 and Dojo3 chips are currently under development.

Musk credited partners TSMC and Samsung for their support in the chip mass production process. He stated that “the AI5 chip will become one of the highest-volume AI chips globally in the future.”
