Zelenskyy Signs Bills to Align Ukraine Energy Market and Products with EU Standards

Gate News message, April 21 — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed two bills aimed at aligning Ukraine’s energy and commodity sectors with European Union standards. The first, Bill 4834-IX, establishes a comprehensive legal framework for Ukraine’s electricity market to fully integrate into the EU’s internal energy market, ensuring transparent and competitive conditions for energy sector participants.

The second bill, 4831-IX, seeks to promote recognition of Ukrainian products in the EU by introducing EU product inspection rules and strengthening the responsibility of businesses to comply with technical regulations.
