Jin10 data on May 21, local time May 20, the United Nations World Food Program released a report on the situation in Sudan, stating that in April this year, the overall food prices in Sudan rose by 124% compared to the same period last year, and increased by 12% month-on-month. Among them, the wheat price rose by 121% year-on-year, and increased by 11% month-on-month; the peanut price rose by 89% year-on-year, and increased by 8% month-on-month; the goat price rose by 235% year-on-year, and increased by 8% month-on-month. The report also pointed out that the Sudanese currency, the Sudanese pound, continues to depreciate, with its exchange rate against the US dollar down 88% year-on-year.
