Genius will suspend dynamic point distribution and plans to shift to a retroactive points mechanism

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Genius announced that starting from 19:30 on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Eastern Time, Genius dynamic points will cease to be issued, and the platform will transition to a retroactive points system. Specific rules will be announced soon.

Genius stated that points earned through transactions will continue to be retained in user accounts, but referral points abused by bot farms will no longer be retained. The first round of the retroactive points activity will begin at 16:00 on January 19 (Eastern Time). Additionally, Genius confirmed that its airdrop white paper will be officially released on January 18.
