The Cardano Foundation recently announced the first key milestone in its governance roadmap. They delegated approximately 220 million ADA to 11 community representatives (DReps), with an average of 20 million per person. This step highlights a strategic deployment focusing on both ecosystem adoption and operational governance.
So far, the total amount of ADA delegated to community DReps has reached 360 million. What does this mean? More governance weight is flowing to active community participants, giving those who truly care about Cardano's development a greater voice.
Not only that, but the Foundation still holds about 171 million ADA that have not been moved. Their plan is to include this portion in governance participation through self-delegation, ensuring that all assets are actively involved in on-chain governance decisions. This approach, from a certain perspective, demonstrates Cardano’s emphasis on decentralized governance — not just holding assets passively, but enabling them to play a real governance role.
This milestone indicates that Cardano is evolving toward a more open and decentralized governance system. From gradually empowering community representatives to full asset participation in governance, the entire process reflects the Web3 project’s step toward true decentralization.

hmm 3.6B ADA in play now... statistically speaking that's what, like 10-12% of circulating? reminds me of UST in May when everyone was convinced the mechanism would hold. not saying it won't work but let's see if these DReps actually vote or just stack the tokens and disappear. risk-adjusted returns on governance participation are... questionable tbh

Really? 360 million ADA just like that? It seems the foundation is actually quite sincere.

Finally seeing the project team actually taking action. Not only talking about decentralization but truly implementing it. This is what Web3 should look like.

This move is quite interesting, but the real test is whether these DReps can truly represent the community's interests or if it's just another round of power rent-seeking.

Interesting, finally seeing the foundation truly decentralize power, not just talking about decentralization.

The delegated amount of 360 million ADA sounds quite promising... but true decentralization still depends on whether someone actually messes up later and whether they can reverse it through voting.

Cardano's approach is impressive; they're really serious about governance, not just paying lip service.

Cardano is really putting in effort this time, with 360 million ADA flowing to the community DReps. The decentralization of power is finally showing real action.
