CoinVoice has learned that Shielded Labs posted on the X platform stating that they received 3,221 ZEC donations from Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss, worth approximately $1.2 million. The funds will be used to support core initiatives such as the network sustainability mechanism, Crosslink, and dynamic fees, aiming to enhance the long-term security, sustainability, and scalability of the Zcash network. This is the second donation from Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss to the organization; they previously donated in 2023 to support the formation of the Crosslink dedicated team. Shielded Labs is a Switzerland-based organization supporting Zcash, with funding entirely from donations, operating independently of the developer fund and block rewards.
