Looking for storage solutions in the Sui ecosystem? The WAL protocol is worth paying attention to. It adopts an erasure coding architecture, with the core advantage of handling large file storage scenarios—NFT metadata, AI datasets, on-chain data archiving—all can be supported. It also addresses two major pain points of traditional centralized storage: high costs and single point of failure risks.

From a tokenomics perspective, $WAL is both an ecosystem governance tool and a revenue distribution token. Holders can stake to participate in node reward sharing or delegate to earn passive income, and also exercise voting rights for ecosystem governance—this design gives the token both practical utility and financial attributes.

Currently, multiple Web3 projects have integrated WAL's storage services, and the pace of ecosystem application deployment is accelerating. Compared to other storage solutions, the decentralized storage track is still in its early stages, and the long-term value exploration space for such technical projects is considerable.

Erasure coding sounds pretty good, but I wonder if it will actually hold up when implemented in practice.

The erasure coding set is indeed powerful, but there are very few projects that can truly be implemented.

Does implementing erasure coding really save costs? I feel like I've heard many storage projects say this, but in the end, what happens?

Erasure coding sounds good, but will it turn out to be another story when actually implemented... --- This storage solution seems pretty similar; the core still depends on who can last until the end. --- Staking mining is back again. Why can't any project escape this cycle? --- I just want to know how much cheaper this is compared to Filecoin. --- Early-stage projects are still risky, but the technical direction is correct. --- If it can truly solve Sui's storage problem, that would be great. Don't let it be another PPT project. --- I'm optimistic about decentralized storage, but WAL as a name is indeed a bit generic. --- Is there such a huge demand for NFT metadata storage scenarios? It doesn't seem that urgent. --- The $WAL token has a dual role in governance and profit-sharing. This model has been overused... --- Single point of failure risk is definitely a pain point; erasure coding can indeed solve it.

Storage is really heating up now. Erasure coding sounds high-end, but how practical it is remains to be seen... However, the WAL token design is quite interesting—staking + governance + revenue sharing, wrapping financial attributes quite thoughtfully.

Erasure coding sounds good, but there are very few projects that can run stably. Let's observe and see.
