CFTC Chair Announces "Clear Act" to be Enacted Soon, US Cryptocurrency Regulatory Framework Achieves New Breakthrough

According to the CFTC official website, the Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recently stated that the "Digital Asset Market Transparency Act" (hereinafter referred to as the "Clear Act") has entered the final critical stage of the legislative process. Congress is about to officially enact the bill, establishing a dedicated regulatory framework for the digital asset market.

This news marks a significant step forward for the United States in cryptocurrency regulation, potentially ending the industry's long-standing regulatory ambiguity.

The core of the bill is to build a "tailored regulatory system" that not only defines compliance boundaries for the digital asset market but also ensures the market's safe and orderly development within the United States, while preventing the industry from growing wildly in a regulatory vacuum.

If the "Clear Act" is successfully implemented, it will provide the US cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and various market participants with long-awaited legal certainty.

At the same time, the bill is expected to clarify the current overlapping regulatory responsibilities and ambiguities among multiple agencies such as the SEC and CFTC, paving the way for compliant operations in the crypto industry and strengthening the institutional foundation for technological innovation and industry development.
