Regarding trading costs, I recently finally understood a certain calculation. Many people only look at the percentage increase but ignore those hidden fees. My own experience is a lesson—my account's apparent increase of dozens or even over a hundred percent, but as soon as I sell, I end up losing money. Where is the problem? It’s all about various fees.
This week I realized that just the miscellaneous costs like transaction fees, slippage, and withdrawal fees eat up about a thousand yuan. In other words, those small gains never really made money; all the profit was lost to fees.
So my current advice is: unless you are confident that a certain coin will rise by more than 20% in the long term, avoid frequent trading. A 10% increase? Sorry, after deducting all kinds of fees, you’re still losing money. Holding for the long term and waiting for a big market move is the way for small investors. Frequent trading may seem flexible, but in reality, you lose more. Calculate your costs and you’ll understand clearly.

Really, being killed by fees is the most despairing.

This is the painful lesson I learned after almost losing a thousand dollars to transaction fees.
