#美国核心物价涨幅不及市场预估 The reality of ETH swing trading: from a 2 million unrealized profit to being trapped, a big trader's three-day nightmare

Recently, I came across the trading record of a seasoned swing trader, which vividly illustrates the brutality of the crypto market.

Let's go back to December 20, 2025. This big trader went all-in with 5,678 ETH at a price of $2,985, investing a total of $16.95 million. Over two days, the account's unrealized profit once reached $2.179 million. That feeling of watching the numbers grow rapidly is probably something every trader has experienced.

But good times didn't last long. Just three days later, the market suddenly turned sharply downward, with ETH plunging over $400. Nine hours ago, this big trader had to make a choice—sell 3,380.4 ETH at a price of $2,998.49. After all the back and forth, they only netted $42,000 in profit, which wasn't even enough to cover the transaction fees.

What’s more heartbreaking is that the remaining 2,298 ETH was directly trapped, with an unrealized loss of $32,300. Going from a 2 million profit to a 3万 unrealized loss in just 72 hours.

This case reflects the most common pitfalls in swing trading: early position building, overconfidence, and lack of stop-loss discipline. The crypto market is constantly changing, and even experienced big traders can't withstand sudden severe pullbacks. Ordinary retail investors should stay vigilant at all times. Instead of chasing big wins, it's better to survive longer in each cycle.

This is the true face of swing trading—200 million in unrealized gains, gone in a flash. Three days of flipping, the crypto world is just this ruthless. Even the biggest whales can't escape the slap of the market, as you can see. Spending 16.95 million to earn only 42,000, this deal is better off just lying flat. Trading without a stop-loss discipline will eventually make you spit it out. Now I get scared when I see stories like this; a steady dollar-cost averaging approach is safer. The market changes in an instant; surviving longer is a thousand times more important than earning quickly. This guy is just greedy; he got carried away when he saw unrealized gains. Wow, a 72-hour roller coaster—how strong must his heart be? The timing of building a position is really crucial; missing it by a day can completely reverse the outcome.

2 million trapped, is that all? You should have set a stop-loss earlier, brother.

2 million turns into unrealized losses in no time, this is the crypto world, brother. Going all-in isn't the problem; the problem is lacking a stop-loss discipline. 72 hours, life feels like a dream; wake up, everyone. Watching the account numbers dance is the easiest way to get carried away, really. Even big players can't hold on; what do you think? I have to say, this wave of market operation is really something. Is stop-loss written in your mind or in your account? Another textbook-level negative example has been born. Living longer is more valuable than making a big profit quickly, that's no lie.
