#稳定币市场发展 Recently discovered a new issue😅 Why is there still a negative premium for USDT? I originally thought stablecoins were supposed to be stable, but it turns out holding them is actually losing money???

After careful research, I realized that it’s due to a combination of factors: RMB appreciation + year-end corporate foreign exchange settlement surge + policy tightening, which together disrupted the supply and demand relationship of dollar stablecoins in the market. It feels a bit complicated, but the core logic is: too many people want to exchange for RMB, so the price of USDT naturally gets pushed down.

The most interesting part is that the experts say there’s no need to panic because this negative premium should be a short-term phenomenon, not a structural issue. They suggest that you don’t necessarily need to rush to convert dollar stablecoins back into RMB; instead, you might consider allocating to euro stablecoins or on-chain gold to hedge against exchange rate risk. It sounds a bit complex, but it seems like a relatively safe approach?

Now I especially want to ask everyone: what is your current stablecoin allocation? Are you directly converting to RMB or waiting and watching? It feels like beginners are really a bit passive in the face of such market changes, and they need to learn more about these hedging strategies💪
