Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 21, According to Cointelegraph, the Kingdom of Bhutan plans to deploy and operate Sei network validation nodes in the first quarter of 2026. This is the latest move in the country's digital transformation plan. The validation nodes will be deployed in collaboration with the Sei Development Foundation, the Bhutanese Sovereign Wealth Fund, and the DHI Holding Company's Technology Department.
Phuntsho Namgay, head of the DHI Innovation and Technology Department, stated that the wealth fund plans to continue exploring other collaboration opportunities with the Sei Development Foundation, including payment and tokenization projects. As a key component of the proof-of-stake network, validation nodes help ensure network security, validate transactions and blocks, and can vote on protocol upgrades.
