A Pokémon card store in New York was robbed by an armed gang on January 14th, resulting in damages worth $100,000. According to reports from Zhitong Finance cited by PANews, during the incident that occurred in the afternoon local time, the robbers threatened customers with guns, then used hammers to break glass display cases and stole high-value Pokémon cards.

CCTV footage from the scene captured the systematic process of the suspects collecting cards, indicating that this was not a spontaneous crime but a premeditated act. Pokémon cards, which are highly valuable in the collecting market, have recently been traded like investment products in the United States, making them targets for theft.

Authorities are currently investigating two suspects related to the case, but no arrests have been made yet. Experts point out that retail stores handling high-value collectibles need to strengthen their security systems.
