Have you noticed that recently, those foreign analysts who specialize in dissecting complex DeFi protocols and game theory models on Twitter seem to have collectively shifted to a field that doesn't look very glamorous—decentralized storage? Even more interesting is that they are no longer just skimming the surface; they are using magnifying glasses, and some are even writing scripts to deeply analyze a project called Walrus.

Why is this happening? Because these folks have long moved beyond the stage of getting excited just by stories. They are now like true hunters, tracking only the data with real value in the forest of information. As for the Walrus project, it doesn't aim to weave a fancy narrative; instead, it presents a set of extremely complex and meticulously engineered economic and technical systems, as precise as a Swiss watch, right in front of everyone.

Every data point generated by this system points to the same question: how to reliably manage data and operate efficiently and profitably in a world of mutual distrust? Isn't this the "Holy Grail" that the entire Web3 community has been pursuing?

These analysts are studying the blueprint for creating this Holy Grail.

**From Philosophy to Economics**

Most storage projects talk about the philosophical significance of "decentralization." After hearing this, foreign analysts politely nod and then ask, "So what?" Philosophy can't change whether data can still be read tomorrow.

The white paper of Walrus straightforwardly does one thing from the very beginning—using engineering thinking to turn philosophical questions into economic ones. It doesn't discuss how noble decentralization itself is, but directly asks: in this system, how should incentives be designed? How to optimize costs? How to diversify risks? This is what truly attracts these "big brains."

What they want is not stories, but verifiable designs, calculable returns, and controllable risks. Walrus quantifies, systematizes, and incorporates all of these into its white paper. That’s why those usually discerning researchers are now collectively turning their attention to this project.

Finally someone has pulled the storage concept out of the fog of narratives, I'm really tired of hearing those虚的 --- Walrus's approach is indeed different; the white paper directly tackles economics, without all the fancy fluff --- Honestly, projects still talking about philosophy in storage are basically out now; analysts are all looking at real data --- Incentive design + cost optimization + risk diversification—these are the things Web3 should focus on --- After listening to so much about decentralization, it's better to read a hardcore white paper for clarity --- The direction of Walrus is quite interesting; finally a project daring to cut the fluff and focus solely on the system --- That group of researchers has sharp eyes; being able to sniff out real value from the hype pile depends on this --- Turning engineering thinking into economic problems—that's what serious work looks like, not just talking casually

Finally, someone has explained this thoroughly. No matter how beautiful the story is, it's useless; being able to read the data is what really matters. --- Walrus is indeed a bit ruthless, directly throwing out the white paper for you to do the math yourself, not relying on storytelling to survive. --- In short, it's moving from hype to real action; what’s meant to come will come. --- Haha no wonder those people are now researching storage, tired of the hype around DeFi. --- Economic issues are much harder than philosophical ones; this is the stuff that can make money. --- It feels like the storage track is about to take off. I really didn't see much hope for it before. --- Incentive design and risk control are now included, making it look like a reliable project. --- From storytelling to accounting, Web3 is finally starting to mature.

Wow, finally someone has explained this matter clearly. The analysts who used to talk about DeFi every day are now turning to explore storage protocols... now that's real intuition. Walrus's approach of directly throwing out economic models without emotional attachment really appeals to me. Not all projects dare to do this. The question is, how many people can truly understand the content of that white paper? Most are probably just following the trend. The storage track is indeed underestimated, but how many of them can actually turn a profit?
