On January 21, Mask founder Suji Yan responded to the takeover of Lens during an interview with BlockBeats, stating: 1. To be precise, Mask does not consider it an acquisition of Lens protocol; both parties discussed this term for a long time, and the final choice was “steward,” which is more like leading. 2. Stani (founder of Lens) will focus more on Aave’s DeFi business in the future and will serve as an advisor for Lens. 3. Moving forward, Lens will adhere to open principles in its products, such as supporting multiple chains, multiple languages, and prediction markets. 4. Lens does not have a clear expectation of issuing tokens. They do not want users to interact just for the sake of boosting, nor do they encourage exploitative behaviors; they promote genuine social interactions.
