The decentralized oracle network Chainlink has presented a vision of the so-called ultimate goal — the final stage of platform development, where it aims to become the fundamental standard for integrating the global financial system with on-chain economy of tokenized assets. At the core of this approach is ensuring a complete lifecycle for institutional blockchain applications, including for real-world tokenized assets (RWA), which require complex, regulated, and scalable workflows. Chainlink noted that with the development of financial instrument tokenization, traditional approaches — building the entire infrastructure in-house or using a fragmented set of providers — are becoming too complex, costly, and risky. Institutions need a universal solution that combines data, cross-chain interoperability, compliance, privacy, orchestration, and integration with legacy IT systems.
