The Ethereum Foundation has finally taken action, directly facing market competition by launching an exclusive portal for institutions. This is undoubtedly a positive development for ETH's fundamentals, but for retail investors chasing high multiples, the reality can be a bit harsh—beta returns are shrinking.
Wintermute's perspective is quite interesting; mainstream assets are becoming "dull." So the question is, where are the Alpha profits? Perhaps they are hidden in the spillover of on-chain culture.
Ethereum's ecosystem is indeed deep, nurturing a unique MEME culture. Unlike other chains that frequently open PVP casinos, projects on Ethereum are more like social experiments—they're not about competing in gambling, but about a group of people using decentralized methods to create humor.
Looking at it from a different angle, if $ETH is the future's digital oil, then these native cultural artifacts are like the flames leaping out when oil burns.

Retail investors' tears have fallen again; the shrinking beta is really intense.
Compared to the exclusive access for institutions, I still believe in the cultural experiments conducted by these crazy people on the ETH chain.
Is the real alpha in memes? I don't know, but anyway, I'm still holding.

Retail investors are about to be taken advantage of again; the high-multiplier dreams have long been shattered.
Thinking that institutional entry is a good thing? It just makes us compete more fiercely.
The MEME ecosystem is indeed interesting, but there are very few who truly dare to go all in.

Wait a minute, the beta shrinkage thing is really heartbreaking. Retail investors really need to wake up.
The institutional entrance is here. Do we still have our high-multiplier dreams?
The MEME ecosystem is indeed quite interesting. It's much more reliable than the casinos on other chains.
But without wind, even the best culture is useless.

Retail investors get cut while institutions lie in wait—an unchanging pattern
It's the same old story: positive fundamentals, beta shrinking, I'm tired of hearing it
ETH's MEME has more soul than other chains, I have to admit that
#美国核心CPI未达市场预期 $ETH $MEME
