According to on-chain data monitoring, the trader successfully exited 40x leveraged long positions established earlier that week, with combined holdings generating $1.53 million in unrealized profits over just seven days.

Strategic Exit from Highly Leveraged Positions

The exit marks a significant risk-reduction move for Machi, who had taken maximum leverage exposure to Bitcoin and ZCash. Bitcoin, the world’s dominant cryptocurrency, was trading around $89.83K at latest data (as of January 21), while ZCash (ZEC), a privacy-focused blockchain project, stood at $368.22. By closing both positions, Machi locked in the weekly profits and freed up collateral for new trading opportunities. This defensive maneuver suggests the trader recognized a potential market shift and chose to capture gains rather than risk further volatility.

Current Holdings: Active Positions in ETH and HYPE

Rather than sitting idle, Machi has redirected capital into two active positions that remain open. He currently maintains 7,100 Ethereum (ETH) with 25x leverage at an average entry price of $2,987, while Ethereum now trades near $2.99K. Additionally, Machi has significantly expanded a 10x leveraged position in HYPE (Hyperliquid’s native token) to 25,888.88 units at an average cost of $24.5 per token, though current pricing shows HYPE at $21.43. These moves indicate Machi is maintaining substantial market exposure while reducing tail risk in more volatile assets, positioning for potential upside while managing downside through selective leverage ratios.
