Big Whale precisely closes $9.98 million ETH short position, turns around to add to AXS long position and shifts to an offensive stance

【Blockchain Rhythm】 Monitoring data shows that there has been an interesting whale operation on the Hyperliquid on-chain. A large whale starting with 0x15df executed 13 buy orders exceeding 2 million USD in a short period — this is not mindless rushing, but a carefully designed closing strategy.

Specifically, this whale used these 13 buy orders to close out 3,300 ETH short positions at a price close to the breakeven point, totaling approximately 9.98 million USD. Although it looks like a “barely escaping,” the profit on the books is about 32,000 USD. After all, with short positions, being able to steadily take out the money is considered a win.

Interestingly, this whale didn’t sit idle. Immediately after closing the positions, it transferred part of the funds to AXS and started increasing its long positions. Currently holding a 5x leveraged AXS long position, with a scale of 530,000 tokens, worth about 1.42 million USD. The floating profit isn’t much — only 5,973 USD — but the liquidation price is set at 2.107 USD, making risk management relatively prudent. This operation rhythm seems to be shifting from defense to offense.
