Abstract generation in progress

FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company (FE PA) is upgrading its electric system in Western Pennsylvania by installing automated reclosing devices and electronic controllers in substations across Clarion, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. This $147 million initiative is part of FE PA’s Long Term Infrastructure Improvement Plan II and aims to enhance service reliability for over 26,000 customers, particularly during adverse weather conditions, by preventing lengthy power outages and speeding up restoration times. The new equipment, already partially in service and expected to be fully operational by mid-year, will prevent and isolate outages more efficiently.
