Gelonghui, February 26 — China Electric Holdings (00002.HK) announced its annual results. In 2025, the group’s operating profit before fair value changes was HKD 10,685 million, a slight decrease of 2.4% compared to 2024. The financial performance of regulated businesses in Hong Kong improved, but was offset by the underperformance of EnergyAustralia customer operations amid ongoing retail market competition and reduced contributions from Yangjiang nuclear power and renewable energy assets in mainland China. After accounting for one-off items, total profit decreased to HKD 10,468 million. Due to lower electricity generation at Australian power plants, total revenue declined by 3.2% to HKD 88,018 million.

Total dividends for 2025 increased to HKD 3.20 per share. The total dividend for 2025 is HKD 3.20 per share (2024: HKD 3.15 per share), including the fourth interim dividend declared by the board of HKD 1.31 per share and the first three interim dividends paid.
