They reduced knock on effects at the heart of some of the most critical DeFi infra in existence
User funds are more important than your performative decentralization platitudes

A couple things stand out about the recent hack in contrast to many others
1) it got so much worse
“Random LST got popped” to “1/1 DVN is the problem” to “North Koreans corrupted LZ RPCs” to “omg r all ofts cooked” (idts)
2) general lack of comms and clarity on what was happening across most parties - for decent reasons I’m sure but lots of crashing out in the dark
3) insane amount of gravedancing but it was musical chairs - pretty fkin problematic given how key Aave has been for the industry (or has been perceived as) esp re: trad adoption
4) finally, the current approach towards resolut

I'd bet that someone is spending 200-300k to move up the Anthropic market on Hyperliquid to finesse a 2-3m additional placement fee on some secondaries right now

i dont have a calendly but when someone sends me one and there's weekend slots available, i immediately have more respect for that person
weekends are a myth work harder

The most fun part of my job is getting to dive into very random industries, spanning delta-1 strategies on BTC, Chinese e-commerce sales, telecom financing, hardware sales, trade financing, ticketing and more

Was catching up with one of our SF based eco founders who is building a suite of AI products in the data labelling/adtech space with a bunch of inbound from large corps + startups.
Their tech works, is generating real results for companies, and the team has lots of runway, but he was worried that they aren't doing enough (especially because of how fast everything around them is moving in SF/AI).
Meanwhile there's infinite crypto companies folding or just absolutely coasting because the market doesn't like our coins anymore.

If there’s anything I’ve learned about working with larger corps, it’s always 2x longer and 2x more unnecessary meetings than expected
But hopefully it adds up to some pretty unexpected collabs for the beras over the next quarter

we've been a little less terminally online as of late while focusing on a few initiatives internally;
- AI upskilling across the org. Lots of useful data to be gleaned, and low lift product / tooling efficiencies.
- Evaluating and coordinating logistics around better yield-bearing collateral on Bend
- Exploring facelifts to the core website and some of our subdApps to better adapt to the times
- Prototyping and testing internally built dApps
- Wrapping up acquisition #1 and getting ready to integrate the team + product
- Prepping to roll out the first "revenue positiv
