GateNews

February 28 News: U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has launched an attack on Iran, stating that the operation aims to eliminate an “imminent threat.” Trump said that the U.S. previously “tried to reach an agreement” and hoped to ease tensions through negotiations, but accused Iran of only wanting to “do evil” and refusing to make substantive responses.

He further claimed that Iran is attempting to rebuild its nuclear program and advance missile capabilities, with related missiles “possibly able to reach the U.S. mainland very soon.” Trump also emphasized that the U.S. will “completely destroy” Iran’s missile industry and “eliminate” its navy to prevent escalation of threats.

According to The New York Times, the attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran are expected to last several days. Additionally, Trump called for regime change in Iran.
