During his visit, Qaani is expected to meet with Iraqi political leaders and armed faction commanders to discuss ways to de-escalate regional tensions and their impact on Iraq. Iraqi officials and sources said Qaani aims to coordinate positions among pro-Iran factions in Iraq to ensure regional stability during this sensitive period.
