People’s Financial News, March 7 — On the morning of March 7, the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress held a press conference focused on people’s livelihoods. Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli stated that the integration of culture and tourism should be the main focus, with efforts to truly develop the tourism industry into a livelihood industry, a happiness industry, and a strategic pillar industry. There are two key areas of focus: first, intelligence—seizing the rapid development of smart technology to drive new business formats, new scenarios, new products, and new models in service consumption, promoting the iterative upgrade of traditional tourism. Second, integration—promoting deep integration of culture and tourism to cultivate more travel experiences following performances, intangible cultural heritage, and sports events, creating new brands.
