The DEX SushiSwap continues to change leadership.

Jared Grey, former CEO of Sushi Labs, stated that he will transition to an advisory role after more than three years leading SushiSwap. During this time, he managed internal turmoil, attacks on the platform, regulatory pressure, and made SushiSwap profitable in 2024 with revenues exceeding 10 million USD. Grey also noted significant milestones such as the launch of the Blade AMM, multi-chain expansion, and integration with Katana and Ekubo to strengthen the liquidity infrastructure.

After the investment from Synthesis, Alex McCurry – founder of Solidity.io and CEO of Synthesis – will take over the executive position. McCurry, who has experience developing software businesses with eight-figure revenues, believes that SushiSwap has a significant growth opportunity. With the backing of Synthesis, SushiSwap aims to increase its annual revenue to over 20 million USD, focusing on sustainable growth and executing competitive strategies in the increasingly mature crypto market.
