Latency, however, is limited by physical laws and real-world conditions, especially to support global home nodes, censorship resistance, and anonymity. He pointed out that reducing latency to the range of 2–4 seconds is a reasonable goal, while applications requiring higher real-time performance (such as AI-driven) will rely on L2 and localized extensions like “city chains.”
