The card received a Gem Mint 10 grade from Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), the highest possible condition rating. According to AP News, the price reflects demand for an extremely rare asset with global recognition and famous ownership history.

Analysts believe that the record value results from a combination of scarcity, perfect condition, and transparent provenance, rather than a general market trend for Pokémon cards.
