Logan Paul sells Pikachu Illustrator PSA 10 card for a record-breaking $16.49 million

Logan Paul just sold a PSA 10 graded Pikachu Illustrator Pokémon card for $16,492,000, setting the record for the most expensive collectible card ever auctioned as of February 16, 2026. The card received a Gem Mint 10 grade from Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), the highest possible condition rating. According to AP News, the price reflects demand for an extremely rare asset with global recognition and famous ownership history.

Analysts believe that the record value results from a combination of scarcity, perfect condition, and transparent provenance, rather than a general market trend for Pokémon cards. However, this sale does not necessarily mean that the price levels for related cards will increase. The record has been verified by Guinness World Records; the auction was organized by Goldin Auctions.
